Last night in Lampang

Riverside Restaurant. They had a band that was pretty good and a grest view of the Wang River.
Leaving for Bangkok in the morning to catch my flight home. Its 8 hours by car so I will get some more experience driving on the left lane of traffic.

Centrum Mall

There was a bit of a farmers market outside the mall and some of the wares included baby chicks, roosters, crayfish and a swimming pool where you could try to catch a prawn. The prize would be the prawn which were 6 inches long. The lightshade in the Starbucks was made of silk worm coccoons!
The country is still morning the loss of their King and there sre mounted photos of the king on the streets, parks, schools, government buildings etc. They had a book of condolances set up in the mall.

Rrstaurant

On our wayhome from spellunking at the National Park we found this beautiful restsurant overlooking the surrounding valley. The food was delicious and the staff we very friendly. We had Tom Yum fish soup, rice and stir fried vegetables and cold tamarind juice. It was a great find

Thamphatai National Park

Saying good night to the band.

Fish King Restaurant

Best meal on the trip and there have been many good ones. Crab, asperagus, mixed greens and rice. See the kitchen ,the clean up area out back and the mess we made of the crabs.

Sunkul Thai Massage

I highly recommend this massage parlour especially for hands and feet. These photos are of the waiting area, very interesting construction.

Prathat Temple

The monks in this collage are likenesses of popular monks who served in this temle.

Prathat Temple

This is an old temple and important because it houses teak furniture dating back to the 16th century and their is an accidental camera obscura reflecting an image of the Chedi through a slit in the wall of an adjacent onto a table.

Lampang

Store front pet for good luck.

Chaing Rai night club at The Ruentip Hotel.

This is the name of the dance club in our hotel and it was hopping last night with a band. Patrons spilling out into the streets.
The other photo is of a art piece on the wall inside.

Mae Sai

Shots of the night market and the border crossing with Myenmar at Mae Sai. One very disgusting shot of a stream in the city market.
