There were several restaurants on site. The thai restautant was vlosed for lunch so we opted for Italian and it proved to be an excellent choice.

Here is a vat of mulberry pulp and a reservoir for lifting the pulp onto screens. Screens drying in the sun.

I loved looking at all the paper and especially the natural fibres
It was all SAA paper ie mulberry.

There wss a great show room of all their products.
There were building for design and profuction etc.

Riverside Restaurant

Great restaurant with a live karaoke band. It was right on the bank of thr River Wang. Thats me on stage singing a Lennon tune, to thunderous applause. Our cuttlery came in little envelopes made of hand made mulberry paper. (A taste of things to come).

These guys were burning the cane to prepare it (facilitate) harvest. Fire drives out snakes and rats and reduces foliage.

Just outside Tak  I finally found some bamboo weaving. The things I found and are pictured her are mostly if not all utilitarian but illustrate a high level of expertise.
